Speaking, Writing & Logistics Accomplishments

When I was in college, my professor used to ask "what's the difference between a large pizza and a theoretical mathematician? ...a pizza can feed a family of four."

Welp, that's me! I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a degree in Theoretical Mathematics, and a minor in Anthropology. I began my career as a technical writer with a nutritional chemistry laboratory. Basically, I digest information (pun intended) from all around the planet and rewrite the rule books that scientists use to test food samples. If you've eaten it, I've probably played a part in that food's safe manufacturing process! This is a massive team effort - which means I communicate with people of all different backgrounds and education levels both globally and on a daily basis. Communication is an art form I have been in love with since I was a pre-teen poet.

I published my first book, The Chrome Chronicles, in May 2019 with help from my friends over at Pole and Performing Art. It is a curated collection of pole dancers from the Midwest that celebrates and encapsulates the vibrant pole dancing community as a snapshot in time. Click here to purchase!

I gave my first talk around the same time this book came out at POLETalks - a TED style talk in Chicago that is focused on topics that loosely fall into the category of pole dancing. You can view my talk on becoming a professional artist here. Now, I practice the orating tradition emceeing local cabaret shows and producing my new podcast, Tranquili-Tease and my new tutorial series, The Educational Ecdysiast.

Most of my written musings end up on Instagram and in my weekly newsletter, The Martian Gazette, via my mailing list.

And, lastly but not leastly - all copy for all shows I produce, as well as the copy on this website, are written by yours truly.
