If you're nervous about something, strive to reach the point of being annoyed.
When I'm nervous, it makes me feel like I'm in a state of paralysis. When I've been nervous for so long, I become exhausted by my frozen state and become annoyed. When I'm annoyed, I'm empowered to make shit happen to change it. Ride the annoyance!
This is the mindset I always have when I am moments away from taking the stage, taking an exam, or walking into an interview.
Im annoyed by the monster in my head that tries to tell me that my steering wheel is broken. I'm in control of this ride, get the fuck out of the driver's seat!
Anxiety is weird. But you don't have to be controlled by it.
