When I was younger, I really wanted to be an ethnobotanist. I was obsessed with plants from the North American deserts! Humans like to attach a lot of meaning to things, and since plants have been engrained in our lives arguably longer than ANYTHING ELSE, there are so many stories to be told!
It almost feels like an honor to be able to live next to all the plants I've been enamored with for so long.
Figuring out what makes your soul feel as free as it did as a child, then pursuing it, is the most magical feeling! I've faced a lot of life obstacles lately that would've pushed me over the edge and back into depression if I was still in my old life in the Midwest (great place, but there wasn't room for me to stretch my wings!) but because I'm working on surrounding myself with joy and whimsy and wonder, I wake up fully functional and THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE!
