Event Planning & Show Producing History
When I was 13 years old, Panic! At The Disco released their music video for "I Write Sins, Not Tragedies" and that's the exact moment I knew I'd join the circus. Little did I know, I'd end up the Ringmaster of my own.
I began by co-producing massive once-a-year festivals:
2016 Wisconsin Burlesque Festival
2016 Wisconsin Male Burlesque Festival
2017 Wisconsin Burlesque Festival
Shortly after, I began producing my very own monthly burlesque and variety show, Sunday Bumday! Burlesque Revue. It ran in Madison from July 2017 - July 2018.
When I moved to Las Vegas, I became the Event Coordinator for Luja Productions, a Las Vegas based production company started by former Cirque Du Soleil aerial performance artist and philanthropist, Jenyne Butterfly. Our first show was RISE, the official Friday night show of the 2018 Pole Expo.
I also worked as the Production Assistant for the March 2019 Viva La Pole Show in Chicago, a live-band pole dancing show by stripping sensation Viva La Muerte.
I co-produced with The Butterfly Effect Collective for a couple months before diving into my podcast. It is a community focused group of creators producing inspiring events for all folks in the heart of the Arts' District in Las Vegas, Nevada. Our events were made to be proof that small change in initial conditions can create a significantly different outcome.
Nowadays, I focus all my efforts on creating and managing inspiring, alcohol-free hosting environments. I am based out of Phoenix, Arizona. You can learn more about this by visiting the @mocktailswithmarina Instagram page.
